6 Easy Ways to Use Protein Powder for a Quick Breakfast or Snack!

Protein powder is one of the best and easiest supplements to use.  It is not just for muscle recovery post workout, but it can make reaching your protein goals easy and tasty!  Making sure to have protein at every meal helps keep you full, boosts your metabolism, is muscle sparing; allowing for more fat burn, and with all the flavors out there it is just good!  Below are a few ways to help you use your favorite protein!

The Obvious - Make a Protein Shake!

You can make it a simple post workout shake with water, or you make it more of a meal by adding frozen fruit, spinach, peanut butter, honey, oats, flax or chia seeds.  The options are endless!

Protein Coffee… More like a Latte, Iced Latte or Frappuccino!

If you are not a big fan of breakfast but you NEED your morning caffeine fix, you must try one of these ideas!

If you like your coffee hot, use a milk froth mixer to slowly mix your protein powder into your coffee.  It will make it frothy, sweet and creamy without adding any extra milk, cream or sugar! Aka a latte with protein!

If you are an Iced Coffee kinda person.  Pour your coffee into a shaker cup, add your protein, shake it up, and add some ice!

You're craving a Frappuccino but don’t want a week's worth of sugar?  Put your coffee, ice and protein powder in a blender and blender for a delicious 100 calorie treat!

Protein Parfait - Mix it into Plain Yogurt

Most of the yogurts we enjoy are packed with added sugar!  Instead buy PLAIN FAT FREE REGULAR YOGURT … not greek, and add you protein powder.  This will add flavor and protein, and now since you got fat free you can add some nuts, seeds, granola, and some fruit for a fresh, tasty and actually healthy yogurt parfait!

Protein Oats

Simply make plain oats with water or your milk of choice in the microwave and stir in a scoop of protein powder for protein!  Quick, easy, and a perfect pre or post workout meal.

Jello Protein Pudding

Yes, I said Jello Pudding.  Buy a box of the Regular or Sugar Free Jello Pudding, mix unsweetened almond milk instead of regular milk and 2-4 servings of protein powder in a food processor to make sure it is well mixed.  Divide evenly into the four servings and you have your own homemade protein pudding!

Protein Pancakes!

This one takes a few more ingredients and time but all your for 1 serving is 1 scoop protein powder, 1 egg, ½ tsp baking powder, 3 TBSP water or almond milk.  Cook in a pan or flat top skillet like you would regular pancakes

Get creative! Eating health and far from boring!
