6 foods that make dieting easier

Let’s face it dieting is not easy!  You might start to feel hungry or find it hard to feel satisfied from meals.  It may be hard for you to get meals in at times you need to prevent you from feeling hungry, or even hangry!  You might get caught with cravings and unsure what to eat.  So what can you do to help you stick to and take control of your diet?  Below are a few foods and tips to help you make dieting easier and overall successful!  OatsOats are a great breakfast or any time of day carb.  They are filled with complex carbs, including fiber to help keep you fuller longer. Oats also have a variety of B vitamins which help turn food into energy.  A great food to try to keep hunger at bay and energy levels up while eating less.  EggsEggs are a great source of protein!  They also include fat to slow the digestion of the protein leaving you feeling fuller longer.  If you are scared about the fat in eggs, buy pastured raised eggs.  These eggs have been shown to have Omega-3 fatty acids, a healthy fat which can actually help your body’s fat metabolism.  Boiled Potatoes Potatoes are a great carb to have on hand.  You actually get to have a pretty large portion while being relatively low calorie.  This again helps create more volume in your meals helping you feel fuller.  Potatoes are also great to have post workout to help refuel your muscles with glycogen.  The better you refuel and eat protein and carbs post workout the less likely you are to be craving those carbs later on.  Protein PowderProtein powder such as SHREDZ protein powder is an amazing addition to your diet foods.  When you are on a diet it is important to eat protein every few hours.  This will help to save your muscle as your body tries to figure out where to burn calories from to lose weight.  If you eat protein every 3-4 hours this helps save your muscle which increases your metabolism!  Protein powder is great to have when you are in a hurry and can’t make eggs in the morning, need a quick lunch after a lunch time workout, or even need something sweet a few hours after dinner. VeggiesVeggies are your friend!
